Description

The Behavioral Health department at NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center is hiring a Senior Clinical Psychologist. This position will provide culturally appropriate and trauma-response mental health services to children and adults. Qualified candidates will have experience with psychological assessment, clinical supervision, and best practices in clinical intervention with children, adolescents, and families. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site three days per week located at 2220 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55411, and remote two days per week. Typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable after the new employee successfully completes probation.

In this position, you will:

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, engage in treatment planning, and provide individual and group psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. 
  • Complete psychological assessments with children, adolescents, adults, and families. This will include administration/interpretation of intelligence tests, achievement tests, adaptive behavior measures, and behavioral rating assessments. 
  • Provide consultation and training to staff; take part in client-related meetings with staff or other providers and professionals.
  • Provide general case management; prepare reports, case records, correspond clinically, and bill for services.
  • Participate in weekly, multidisciplinary staff case consultations with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health providers.
  • Complete timely documentation of mental health services provided to meet Minnesota Uniform Service Standards (USS) requirements and to bill for services.
  • Work as a member of a multidisciplinary, integrated care team consisting of medical, dental, behavioral health, and other ancillary care providers, providing both internal and external referrals for patients.
  • Supervise and train entry-level clinical psychologists and graduate students.
Need to have:
  • A doctoral degree in psychology from an APA-accredited program with appropriate clinical training and one or more years of post-doctoral experience as a clinical psychologist in a medical or mental health setting.
  • Licensed psychologist by the Minnesota Board of Psychology.
Nice to have:
  • Experience:
    • Working with EPIC or another similar electronic health record system.
    • Providing culturally responsive care to individuals from within the BIPOC community.
    • Speaking to community groups, schools, and healthcare and social service professionals about mental health topics.
  • Knowledge of how social determinants of health impact populations served.
  • Bilingual competency (Spanish, Hmong).
